Cross bike project 9 - クロスバイクプロジェクト9

I will make my metallic green with these color chips.

I just finishied priming on my cross frame. So I have to make my own color (metallic green) with some color chips. Mixing some kinds of green and silver metallic a little... I think, this time, I want to make a beautiful contrast between green and white.

自身のクロスフレームのプライミング（下地塗り）を終えた。次は、自分だけのカラー（メタリックグリーン）を作らなければならない。何種類かのグリーンに少しシルバーメタリックを加え、、、といった具合に調合する。　今回はグリーンとホワイトのきれいなコントラストを作りたいと思う。

In America, we have a doctor for each patient. I went to see my doctor today. He is a very funny doctor. He loves frogs. There are many frogs around him! I have asked him before why he loves frogs so much. But he just says "Frogs are wonderful, don't you think so?"
When I visit him, he takes his time for me (patient) about 1 hour (for patient interviewing). But most of the time, he talks about himself!! He is so fanny! (But he is a great doctor, of course.) If I ask "How old are you?", he says "How old? I am 100." ... I like him.

アメリカでは、個人個人に主治医をもつ。今日、私の主治医に会いに行った。彼は非常に風変わりなドクターである。彼はなぜか”蛙”が大好きなお医者さんである。ものすごい数の蛙のぬいぐるみ、模型などが彼の周りにいる。彼に一度、”なぜそんなに蛙がお好きなんですか？”と聴いた事があるが、彼はただ、”だって蛙はすばらしいじゃないですか。”と答えるだけであった。
彼のオフィスを訪れると彼は問診のためにたいてい約１時間くらい私のため（患者さんのため）に時間をさいてくれる。しかし、実際はそのほとんどの時間は”彼”の話になってしまう。
実に面白い先生である（もちろんすばらしいドクターでもある）。”先生はおいくつなんですか？”と尋ねると、”いくつ？100歳だよ100歳”とお答えになる。。。　私はそんな彼が好きである。

Cross bike project 8 - クロスバイクプロジェクト8

My cross frame is in paint booth now. I will prep and prime it tomorrow.
It was 1334g after welding and brazing small parts.

自分のクロスフレームがとうとうペイントブースに入れられました（自分で入れましたけどね）。
ちなみに小物類など全て溶接終了時の重量は1334g。スティールのクロスバイクとしては軽量かな。

Spoke holder? - スポークホルダー？

This bike is a touring bike. It has lots of options on it. It has a kick stand and spoke holder, too. Spoke holder!? I have never seen it.
Some touring bike have a spoke holder on them. If there is anything wrong on a spoke, some people change it. I didn't know that. So maybe, this customer will have a heavy tour with this bike.

このバイクはツーリングバイクである。たくさんのオプション付き。キックスタンドとスポークホルダーも付いている。スポークホルダー！？　今までにそんなの見たことがない。
ツーリングバイクによっては、スポークホルダーを装備しているらしい。もし何かツーリング中に、スポークに問題が発生した場合、交換するそうである。知らなかった！　多分このバイクのオーナーはヘビーなツーリングをするのでしょう。

London show bike - ロンドン ショーバイク

This frame is going to London for a bike show. Show bikes are welded something special? No. I weld them as same as usual.

このフレームはロンドンのバイクショーにだされるものである。ショーバイクは何か特別に溶接されるの？　いいえ、いつもと変わらず溶接します。

Updated the smallest frame - 最小フレーム更新

I had the smallest frame I've ever had. The size is 9.5 inch (24cm), 26-inch wheel. It's too much overlaped between TT and DT.　Maybe, it's not necessary to have a curve down tube for this size.

最小フレーム更新。サイズ、9.5インチ（24cm）Mtn.　TT とDT との接点がオーバーラップしすぎている。このサイズにはカーブダウンチューブは必要でないかもしれない。

Cross bike project 7 - クロスバイクプロジェクト７

1252g (no small parts, 35mm DT). I changed HT (thicker), so it was added some more weight. 1252g（小物なし、径35mm DTで）。HT を厚めのものに変えたので少し重くなった。

Welded it up (frame). Usually, we use bent SS for cross bikes because it is easier to set up the brake bosses and keep tire clearance, but I used straight SS. I have to adjust brake bosses and set up. Next is weld small parts.

フレームの溶接終了。たいていクロスバイクの場合、曲げ加工されたシートステーを使用するが（ブレーキボスのセッティングやタイヤのクリアランスをキープするなどしやすい）、あえてストレートタイプを使った。ブレーキボスのセットアップに少し手間がかかるだろう。次は、小物の溶接である。
