Lugged brazing and Tig welding - ラグドロウ付けとTig 溶接



There are two main ways to join two metal tubes for a frame. They are brazing (lugged, fillet) and Tig welding. Both ways can have a very strong connection. Especially, lugged brazing is the strongest way (but it will be heavy, though.). Tig welding has a very tight connection and strong.
Each way has each good point, but the most important thing to make a strong frame is in the process, not the way.

メタルフレームのチューブを接合させる方法としては大きく二つの方法がある。ロウ付け(ラグド、ラグレス)、そしてTig 溶接である。これらはみな強力な接合部分をつくる。特にラグドのロウ付けによるフレームは最も強度がある(同時に、ヘビーにはなるが、、、)。Tig はチューブ同士を非常にタイトに接合することができ、かつ、強力である。
それぞれに長所があるが、一本の強いフレームをつくるための最も重要なことは、その方法ではなく、それぞれの溶接をする前、最中のプロセスのなかにある。
