44mm steel HT

 

44mm straight type steel HT. I usually use this one for steel 44mm HT. There is another kind of 44mm HT, but I do not use it because it is too much thick and heavy. It tends to have heavy front with it and there is a too much gap about the thickness between HT tube and main tubes (TT or DT), especially for CX or road bikes... So I think this is a good one as a 44mm steel HT tube.

44mmストレートタイプのスティールHT チューブ。スティールフレームで44mmHT の場合これを使用している。他にもあるのだが、それは厚すぎるため重量がヘビーでDT やTT のメインチューブとの厚さと強度のバランスがとりにくいので使用しない。MTB などでは良いかもしれないが、CX やRoad ではバランスがよくなくフロントヘビーな感じになってしまう。
そんなわけで、スティールの44mmHT にはこのストレートタイプを使用している。
