Curved tubes (double) - カーブドチューブ （ダブル）

Curved tubes has been popular for Mtn. bikes. There are some good points to use a curved tube. Basically, it is used for down tubes because it makes twist around the head tube less (stiffer). And for top tubes, it is for standover height (for small riders, 29 Mtn.). Curved tubes solved two problems (for stiffness and for small riders) without using any gusset, or chainging the diameter and thickness of the tube.

カーブドチューブはMtn. バイクによく使用されているが幾つかのメリットがある。基本的にそれはダウンチューブに使用されることが多い。なぜならヘッドチューブ周りに剛性が高まるからである。（たいがいの人は知っていると思うが。。。）またそれをトップチューブに使うことで足つきの問題も解決しやすい。カーブドチューブは今までよく使用されていたガセットを必要とせず、またチューブの厚さや径の変更なども基本的に必要とせずに、剛性と足つきの問題を解決したといえるだろう。
