Next-generation builders in Japan - 次世代の日本のビルダー

There are many frame builders in Japan. Most of them are 50's, 60's, or 70's? They have contributed a lot for Japanese bike industry. We should respect them. However, they will have to have next generation builders soon. 
In Japan, most frame builders have worked for keilin racers. But in these days, I hear keilin is being cut down... In the Us, there is no organizations like keilin. So there are many builders with many kinds of styles, some are great, some are...
So I think, next generation builders should seek something new different than keilin. In Japan, there is quite few cool bike brands which are like IF, Firefly in US. Maybe, only "Cherubim" has tried to make cool bikes and has challenged. I hope they have more cool bike builders and brands in the future in Japan and they show their cool bikes to the world.

日本にもたくさんのフレームビルダー達がいるが彼らのほとんどは50代、60代、70代？である。確かに彼らは、日本のバイク産業に大きく貢献してきたのだろう。そういう点では彼らに敬意を払わなければいけないだろう。しかしながら、世代交代しなければいけない時がすぐ来るのではないか？
日本のビルダー達のほとんどは競輪によって成り立ってきたといってよいだろう。しかしその競輪も縮小傾向にある。
アメリカにはそういったオーガナイゼーションは無い。そのため様々なスタイルのビルダー達が存在する。
それで思うのが、次世代のビルダーたちは競輪中心の今まで続いてきた単一的なイメージを振り払い独自のスタイルでクールでモダンでクオリティーの高いバイクブランドを形成していくべきではないかと。日本ではここアメリカに存在するようなクールなバイクブランドは少ない。（例えば、IF やFirefly などのような）　自分が知る中では、Cherubim （ケルビム）ぐらいだろうか。彼（今野さん）のようなビルダーの存在は日本のこれからのバイクブランド形成に大いに貢献すると個人的に思う。積極的で、また日本だけでなくここアメリカでも彼の名はよく知られている。彼のようなビルダーが日本でももっと出てくるようになればよいのだが。そしてそういったクールでクオリティーの高いバイクをつくる日本のビルダー達が集まり、日本で、そして日本の外に向かって何らかの形で発信していくことができるようになれば、さらに日本のバイク事情も活性化されておもしろくなるのではないかと思う。
